		<description>My son is almost six and has just started reading. Now that he is, he&#039;s more interested in the whys behind the strange language rules he is learning. We do our best to explain them to him. Who knew those linguistic courses in college that I took for fun would come in handy this way?</description>

		<description>There&#039;s a podcast I listen to every once in awhile called &quot;A Way with Words.&quot; You can find it on iTunes. They talk a lot about etymology but in a really fun, entertaining way. As if etymology isn&#039;t fun and entertaining in its own right... sheesh.

I like learning the rules and then taking creative liberty to break them when it makes sense to do so. What are your thoughts on that?
